Hallmarking

Ask if it's hallmarked

In the UK it is illegal to sell or describe any item as gold, silver, platinum or palladium unless it is hallmarked. The notice below is the official Dealer's Notice of the British Hallmarking Council, displayed in its entirety in accordance with the Hallmarking Act 1973. Every hallmark we strike — and every hallmark we check for you — is applied by a UK Assay Office, including the Goldsmiths' Company Assay Office in London.
